All families experience conflict.  Mediation is one technique that can be used to help defuse or deescalate anger and conflict in our homes.  Many times these conflicts may need to be negotiated with the assistance of a professional mediator.  Mediation skills can benefit all families and this workshop will be beneficial to all attendees.

Every parent wants the best for their child, but divorced parents face special challenges in helping their children lead happy, productive lives. Divorce can be devastating for children. This workshop helps parents focus on raising healthy children with an emphasis on helping children survive divorce.

More than half of all marriages end in divorce, and the majority of these involve children.  Conflict between parents, both before and after divorce, is associated with many negative outcomes in children.  The purpose of this workshop is to help parents learn how to nurture and support their children during and after their divorce.  Come get sound, sensible information on how to help children handle the divorce of their parents.  Learn how to tell your children the marriage is over, prepare them for changes, communicate positively with your children and your ex-spouse, and develop a parenting plan that will minimize the trauma to your child.
