Juggle Fest at The Jones Center
March 26th- Professional Juggling Performances @ 7pm
March 27th
- starting at 9a- A chance for kids and adults to learn how to juggle.  Free admission at The Jones Center- Gymnasium

Juggle Fest is an opportunity to see amazing performers who can keep multiple objects in the air!  Juggling comes in many forms and there is something for every one of almost any age; balancing acts, juggling balls or clubs, riding a unicycle, manipulating objects, magic tricks, twirling things, and evening jogging while juggling.

6 PM Crafty Creators - Come join us for Crafty Creators, an hour filled with creation and imagination! This program is best for ages 5 and up. Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult.  For more information: 621-1152, extension 26.

 

Every Tuesday

6:30 PM Family Story Time - Family Story Time begins at 6:30 PM every Tuesday. Come and join us for a fun family story time that’s filled with stories, songs and rhymes.  This program is for the entire family. Every Wednesday

10:30 AM Preschool Story Time - Preschool Story Time begins at 10:30 AM each Wednesday. Join Ms. Joy each week for stories, songs and rhymes! For ages 3-5 and their caregivers.  A craft will follow.  For more information:  621-1152, ext. 26.

 

Every Thursday

9:30 AM Toddler Story Time - Toddler Story Time begins at 9:30 AM each Thursday. Join Ms. Rebecca for stories, songs, and rhymes. For ages 2-3 and their caregivers.  For more information:  621-1152, ext. 26.

 

10:30 AM Baby Play and Rhyme Time - Baby Play & Rhyme Time begins at 10:30 AM every Thursday.  Introduce your little one to the library with this special program.  Join Ms. Kathleen for books, rhymes, and songs.  For babies up to 2 years old and their caregivers.  For more information:  621-1152, ext. 26.

Thursdays (New Program started in January)

February 4, 11, 18, 25

4:00-4:45 PM – Miss J’s Journeys – Join Miss Jackie for a new after school program which features a different activity each Thursday and includes a little bit of learning with a lot of fun. These activities are for students in grades 3-5. On February 4 we will be building paper airplanes then testing to see who the best builder is.  February 11 the group will be making a relief map of Arkansas using play dough to show the different land forms of the state.  February 18 during Write and Share Time we will be creating an acrostic poem.  February 25 will be card games for all.  An assortment of card games will be available for the children to learn how to play and enjoy.  Registration is limited to 20 each week and is required for this program. Registration can be done on our web site or by calling 621-1152 ext. 26.

 

Saturday Story Time

Saturday Story Time begins at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 6.  This week’s theme is Groundhog Day! This time is for the whole family with story and craft.  Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult.  For more information:  621-1152 extension 26.

Monday Night Bookies Book Club begins at 5:30 PM Monday, February 8.  Boys and girls in grades 3-4 are invited to share excellent books, a great discussion, and snacks!  Parents, guardians, or other adult family members are encouraged to participate.  The book to be discussed is Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume. Thursday Night Bookies Book Club begins at 5:30 PM Thursday, January 14.  Boys and girls in grades 5-7 are invited to share excellent books, a great discussion, and snacks!  Parents, guardians, or other adult family members are encouraged to participate.  The book to be discussed is A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle. Saturday Tween Program

The Tween Program begins at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 13 and February 20.  Join us for a fun and creative program just for tweens in grades 5-7 or ages 10-13.  This month’s activity is making twine and rope jewelry for yourself or a loved one. Saturday Cinema

Saturday Cinema begins at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 27. This week’s movie is Bedtime Stories[Rating: PG.  Run Time: 99 min.] starring Adam Sandler. Director Adam Shankman helms this children’s fantasy concerning a hotel handyman who gradually begins to realize that the imaginative bedtime stories he tells his niece and nephew are somehow beginning to manifest themselves in the real world.
