“The Nutcracker” Ballet Tickets Now on Sale

“THE NUTCRACKER” NOW ON SALE
BENTONVILLE, Ark. – (October 24, 2008) – Classical Ballet Academy is pleased to announce that tickets to its fifth annual production of “The Nutcracker,” which will take place on Saturday, December 13, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 14, at 3:00 p.m. at the Arend Arts Center in Bentonville, are now on sale. Tickets to the production range in price from $7 - $22 and are available exclusively online at www.classicalballetacademy.net. Advance ticket purchase for “The Nutcracker” is encouraged. Any remaining tickets will be available for purchase in the Arend Arts Center lobby 45 minutes before each performance.
Nearly 100 regional dancers auditioned for the production in late August. Rehearsals for the two-act holiday ballet about a young girl’s journey to the “ Kingdom of Sweets ” began in early September. Dancing the role of Clara in this year’s production is Eliza Dach, the daughter of Mary Dickie and Leslie Dach, of Bentonville.
Classical Ballet Academy strives to bring a professional dance experience to those in Northwest Arkansas . In addition to using professional costumes, sets and choreography, the Academy is bringing in three professional dancers to perform in the production. Chung-Lin Tseng and Olga Pavalova will be performing the roles of Cavalier Prince and Sugar Plum Fairy. Bianca Wugofski will dance Snow Pas De Deux with Chung-Lin Tseng. All three dancers are traveling from Texas to perform.
Classical Youth Ballet and Classical Ballet Academy are non-profit organizations dedicated to providing classical ballet education and performance opportunities to youth in Northwest Arkansas .
